Hi there, I’m Anna

Manager by trade. Parent. Expat living in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Several years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter living overseas.

How It Started

Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.

The initial months were relentless — unfamiliar processes, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than expected.

The Adjustment Period

There was cultural adjustment, doubt, and plenty of on-the-job learning. Yet gradually, habits formed. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.

Why I Built Cozy Willow Path

Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family perspective.

This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Germany.

What This Site Stands For (And What It Doesn’t)

This site is:

  • Hands-on experience from living in Germany
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever a meaningful change occurs

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism-authority resource
  • A sponsored-review platform
  • A generic travel blog

Moving Forward

Our time in Germany goes on, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we find.

If you have questions about family life in Dusseldorf or anywhere in Germany, please feel free to get in touch.

Best regards,

Anna
